Terms of Use
1. Agreement
By installing or using Invictus RangeLog ("the app") or its sync service, you agree to these terms. If you obtained the app through the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple is not responsible for the app or its support.
2. What the app is
The app is a record-keeping tool for firearms maintenance, ammunition data and range sessions. It performs arithmetic on numbers you enter (round counts, group sizes, maintenance intervals) and displays third-party weather data you request. It does not provide ballistic solutions, load-safety guidance or firearms-handling advice.
3. Your responsibility
- Safety. You are solely responsible for the safe handling, maintenance and use of your firearms and for the safety of any ammunition you load. Reloading data you record in the app is your own; the app does not validate it against published load data. Always work up loads using a current published manual.
- Accuracy. Round counts, maintenance status and barrel-life estimates are derived from the data you enter. Verify them yourself before relying on them, especially when selling a barrel.
- Law. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to you, including those concerning firearms, ammunition and record-keeping.
- Your key. If you enable sync, you are responsible for safeguarding your encryption key (and any exported key file). We cannot recover synced data without it.
4. Accounts and the sync service
Sync is optional and provided as-is. You may not use it to store content you do not have the right to store, to interfere with the service, or to attempt to access other users' data. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service. We may change or discontinue the sync service with reasonable notice; your local data is unaffected, and you can export your key and data at any time.
5. Intellectual property
The app, its design, name and logo are the property of Invictus Armory. Your data is yours; we claim no rights to it and, by design, cannot read it.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The app and service are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that derived figures are correct.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Invictus Armory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the app or service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
